For trainers who give homework

You gave them three workouts.
Did they do any?

Talk for 30 seconds after a session and Spotter writes the client’s recap and puts their homework in their app. When they log a workout, you see it.

Apply for the founding beta

Free during the beta. Ben sets it up with you on a call.

Founding beta: these examples show the intended workflow. Ben will walk you through what is available today. Automated calls, weekly summaries and platform imports are still being developed.

Short demo

From your voice note to their phone

Record the session with your client’s OK, or just talk for 30 seconds afterward. Spotter logs it, writes the recap and lines up the homework for Jamie’s app. You check it and send.

Illustrative example. Alex and Jamie are made up and the voice is synthetic.

What Spotter did
Recap for Jamie, waiting for your OK: Good one today. Goblet squats at 45 lbs for 10, 10 and 8. I’ll put your hotel workouts in the app before you fly out.
Your week

Who did the homework

Every client on one screen, updated when they log something. The ones who’ve gone quiet sit at the top, so you know who to text on Monday.

What your clients get

One screen with this week’s homework and your last recap.

A recap after every session

What they did and what’s next, written from your voice note. It goes out once you’ve checked it.

Homework they can find

It’s on the first screen they see. No scrolling back through texts for a PDF.

Logging in a couple of taps

Done, skipped, or done with a note like “knee felt off”. You see it right away.

Their progress

The lifts tied to their goal, like Jamie’s goblet squat, plus private progress photos if you take them.

Founding beta

Looking for trainers who give homework.

Especially if you’ve ever found out at the next session that nobody did it.

  • A setup call with Ben. He’ll get you running and bring your clients over.
  • Free during the beta. For you and your clients. You’ll know the price before you pay anything.
  • A say in what gets built. Your requests go straight to Ben.
  • What Ben asks: use it with real clients for a few weeks and tell him what’s wrong with it.
Questions

Before you apply

Do my clients need to download an app?

For homework and logging, yes. It’s free for them. If someone won’t install it, you can copy the recap into a text.

I already send programs in Trainerize or TrueCoach.

Keep using it for programs if it works for you. Right now Spotter only tracks homework that’s in Spotter, so clients would log in two places. Ben will help you pick the split on your setup call.

Does it nag my clients?

Only if you want it to. You decide who gets a reminder, and you see it before it goes out.

Do I need my clients’ permission to record?

Yes. Get your client’s informed permission before recording and record that consent in Spotter. We walk through the consent controls on your setup call.

What happens to the audio?

It’s turned into notes. Saved recordings and transcripts stay available for review until you delete them. There is no automatic seven-day deletion. We explain recording consent and AI processing during your setup call.
