For personal trainers

You coach.
Spotter takes the notes.

Hit record when the session starts and put your phone away. Spotter follows your plan, logs the sets and catches what clients mention between them. Afterwards you get the recap, the to-dos, and a quick brief before you see them again.

Apply for the founding beta

Free during the beta. Every trainer who joins gets a setup call with Ben, who’s building Spotter.

Founding beta: these examples show the intended workflow. Ben will walk you through what is available today. Automated calls, weekly summaries and platform imports are still being developed.

Short demo

Hear it work

Three moments from a trainer’s day, about a minute in total. Press play and keep scrolling. The audio keeps going while you look around or fill in the application.

Illustrative example. Alex and Jamie are made up and the voices are synthetic.
What was said
What Spotter did

Spotter already had today’s plan, so it knew what to listen for. The lunge swap gets a question afterwards instead of a guess.

What you get

The admin that happens in your car, done before you get there

Session logs

Sets, reps and loads checked off against your plan while you coach. Anything unclear gets flagged for you instead of guessed.

Recaps for clients

A short message about the session, drafted and waiting for your OK. Nothing sends without you.

To-dos from what you promised

“I’ll send you that workout” turns into a to-do with the client’s name on it.

A brief before every session

Ten minutes out: what you did last time, what’s happened since, anything you still owe them. Phone-call delivery is planned.

Progress reviews that help renewals

When a package runs low, Spotter drafts a review built around the client’s goal. You add your take and send it.

A heads-up when someone’s drifting

Missed sessions, skipped homework, “work is insane right now”. You hear about it weeks before the renewal.

Founding beta

We’re looking for trainers who run their own book.

Independent trainers and small studios who train clients one-on-one and are tired of doing notes from memory.

  • A setup call with Ben. He’ll get you running and help bring your clients over.
  • Free during the beta. You’ll know the price before you pay anything.
  • A say in what gets built. You talk to the people building it, not a support queue.
  • What we ask: use it with a few real clients for a few weeks and tell us what’s wrong.
Questions

Before you apply

Do I need my clients’ permission to record?

Yes. Get your client’s informed permission before recording and record that consent in Spotter. We walk through the consent controls on your setup call.

What happens to the audio?

It’s turned into notes. Saved recordings and transcripts stay available for review until you delete them. There is no automatic seven-day deletion. We explain recording consent and AI processing during your setup call.

My gym has no signal. Does it still work?

It records to your phone. Reopen Spotter with a connection to upload saved recordings and check their status.

Do I have to stop using Trainerize or TrueCoach?

No. Spotter works alongside what you use now. On your setup call we’ll bring your client list over.

What does it cost?

Nothing during the beta. We’ll tell you the price before you pay anything.

Which phones does it work on?

The current phone beta is for iPhone through TestFlight. Tell us if you use Android so we can keep you informed about availability.
